Hytek Confirms Purchase of Springhill Farms Processing Plant
Hytek Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has successfully purchased Springhill Farms LP and that it has assumed full ownership and control of the food processing facility near Neepawa, Manitoba.
In confirming this strategic investment, Guy Baudry, Vice President of Hytek and the newly appointed CEO of Springhill Farms says: “We are very excited about the future of Springhill Farms. We look forward to working with our employees at the plant and to work closely with the community as we take the plant to the next level!”
Starting today and over the next 2 years, Hytek will focus on modernizing the plant and do further value-adding at the facility. These activities will not only secure the long-term future of the plant and its current 350 employees but also create 200 new jobs.

This is something that we have been waiting word on since the original announcement of the planned purchase.” says Neepawa Mayor Bob Durston. “This will provide significant spin-off benefits to the area and boost our local economy!” This was also echoed by Michelle Gerrard, President of the Neepawa Chamber of Commerce on hearing the good news. “We are very excited about the opportunities that Hytek-Springhill is bringing to our community and congratulate everyone involved in making the plans come to fruition.”
